1. Who we are
Sightline Labs, LLC is a Tennessee limited liability company based in Maryville, Tennessee ("Sightline Labs," "we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use sightlinelabs.org, Sightline Alert, Sightline Bridge and Sightline Calibrate, and what we do with it. Questions? Email [email protected].
2. What we collect
- Your account: your email address, your name, and your password. We store the password only as a one-way hash, never as plain text.
- Your TradingView username and your plan. We need the username to give your TradingView account access to Sightline Alert.
- A mailing address, only if our staff add one to your account. It isn't shown on any public page.
- Sign-in records: the IP address you signed up from, the IP address of your last sign-in, and how many times you've signed in. We use these to keep accounts secure.
- Purchase records: your plan, your subscription status and dates, whether you bought Sightline Bridge, and the IDs Stripe gives us for your customer record, subscription and payment.
- Your saved Sightline Calibrate ranges and recent best picks, if you save them. This is a small settings file kept in your account so it follows you to another computer.
3. Billing goes through Stripe
Payments are handled by Stripe. When you subscribe or buy Sightline Bridge, you enter your card on Stripe's checkout page. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us. We never see or store it. Stripe's own privacy policy covers what Stripe collects. Manage billing on your Account page also opens Stripe's page.
4. Your trades stay with you
Your trade data never reaches our servers. Our servers have no address that receives your trades, your orders or your broker login.
- Sightline Alert runs inside your own TradingView account.
- Sightline Bridge runs on your own computer and works with your TradeStation account.
- Sightline Calibrate runs in your web browser, on your own computer. The chart files and reports you load into it are not uploaded to us.
5. Stock history from Yahoo Finance
Sightline Calibrate has a stock history line that shows the last three months of daily prices and volume for the stock you're testing. To get it, Sightline Calibrate sends the stock symbol (for example, CIFR) through our site to Yahoo Finance. Only the symbol is sent. Your account, chart files, settings and trades are not sent. Yahoo Finance can see that request came from our site.
6. Cookies and browser storage
- Sign-in cookie. When you sign in, we set one cookie called
sl_session. It keeps you signed in for up to 14 days. It can't be read by page scripts, and it's only sent to our site.
- Staff cookie. Our staff sign-in uses a separate cookie. Customers never get it.
- Browser storage. Sightline Calibrate saves a few display choices in your browser, like column widths and which groups are folded.
- We don't use advertising cookies or tracking cookies, and we don't run third-party analytics on the site.
- Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout and billing pages.
7. Who else is involved
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the database where your account is stored.
- Stripe handles payments.
- TradingView gets your username from us when we give you access to Sightline Alert.
- Google Fonts supplies the site's fonts, so your browser asks Google for them when a page loads.
- Yahoo Finance gets the stock symbol only, as described above.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for advertising.
8. Your choices
You can see your details on your Account page. To change them, or to ask us to delete your account, email [email protected]. We may keep payment records where the law requires it.
9. Age
Sightline is for adults. You must be at least 18 to use it, as our Terms of Service say.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
